BCA Performing ArtsAn Evening of One-Act Plays

"An Evening of One-Act Plays" offers a captivating journey through diverse stories, emotions, and perspectives, all within a compact theatrical experience.

Recommended for middle school ages and older.

The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde & adapted by Jason Pizzarello
Wilde’s classic comedy of manners, The Importance of Being Earnest, is a witty satire about identity, love, and the sometimes-ridiculous rules of society. Through mistaken identities, quick banter, and clever twists, the play pokes fun at the trivial things people can value—while reminding us that truth and honesty matter most.

It’s A Wonderful Neverland by Patrick Greene & Jason Pizzarello
This imaginative play combines two beloved classics—Peter Pan and It’s a Wonderful Life. When Peter Pan begins to wonder if his life really makes a difference, he gets a glimpse of what Neverland might be like without him. What unfolds is a heartwarming, humorous story about purpose, friendship, and the way even one life can shine brightly in the world.

The Rehearsal by Don Zolidis
The Rehearsal pulls back the curtain on the chaos and comedy of putting on a play. With forgotten lines, last-minute changes, and plenty of miscommunication, this show reminds us that behind every polished performance is a group of people learning to work together. At its heart, it’s a celebration of teamwork, persistence, and the joy of theatre itself.
